TOLEDO, Ohio — Mercy Health's mobile mammography van has 17 stops around northwest Ohio and one in southeast Michigan planned for September.
The van, which provides 3D mammograms to patients ages 40 and older, is designed to make the screenings accessible by visiting communities throughout the 419 and beyond.
Early diagnosis of breast cancer has proven better outcomes, according to Mercy Health.
The van is customized for patient convenience and allows the patient to adjust compression.
