New bilingual Early Literacy Stations have been added the Chatham and Tilbury branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library thanks to support from the Councillor Ward Funding Program.

The child-friendly stations are dedicated computers with child-sized keyboards and mice that provide “safe, interactive and educational digital learning,” said a library media release.

Each station comes loaded with French and English educational games that foster foundational literacy and math skills such as letter and number recognition, phonics, rhyming and storytelling, library officials said.

“These bilingual stations are popular with kids as they allow screen time fun, and popular with parents because they offer educational entertainment.”
