An Alabama community is mourning after a collision involving two ATVs at Indian Mountain ATV Park left two people dead and seven others injured on Saturday, authorities said.

The Cherokee County coroner’s office said it responded to what it described as a “mass casualty incident” at the park following reports that two ATVs collided. The adult driver of one vehicle died at the scene, and an adult passenger died after being airlifted to a Birmingham area hospital.

The seven other people who were hurt were children, according to WEIS Radio . Their conditions were not immediately known.
