FINDLAY, Ohio — The Findlay community is rallying to support a 21-year-old college student who is facing cancer for the second time.
Aidan Madson, a University of Minnesota junior with roots in Findlay, who is studying landscape architecture, was first diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma in August 2022.
After two years in remission, doctors discovered the cancer had returned this past April.
“He was clear for two years. And then a few months after they did a scan and something popped up, bummed him out, ran tests, found out the cancer was starting to come back,” said his father, Chuck Leach. “They had to remove two small masses, same spot in his abdomen.”
