TOLEDO, Ohio — Editor's note: This story has been updated to include new information made available in a Toledo police report.

The passenger of a motorcycle was taken to the hospital after a west Toledo crash early Monday.

In a report, Toledo police said the driver of the motorcycle and a passenger were traveling southbound on Secor, approaching Wichita at approximately 2:30 a.m. The driver lost control of the motorcycle, according to police, and struck construction barrels in the area.

The crash resulted in a severe injury to the passenger, who was taken to the hospital, while the driver was medically cleared with minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and part of Secor Road while a traffic investigator was on scene.

Police are still investigating the crash.
