A man is in custody Monday after allegedly accidentally shooting a woman in the leg in the Valley Glen neighborhood.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Division responded to the 6400 block of Fulton Avenue and Victory Boulevard at 12:14 a.m. Monday regarding reports of a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they were told the suspect was playing with a gun when it accidentally discharged, striking the woman in the leg, an LAPD officer told City News Service.
Officers took the man into custody at the scene, police said. The woman was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
