CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Kroger will offer an additional discount for select customers on Sept. 7.

Customers ages 55 and older can save an extra 5% on their in-store purchase total.

“At Kroger, we’re proud to support our senior customers with meaningful ways to save,” said Jenifer Moore, corporate affairs manager. “From personalized digital deals to trusted everyday low prices, we’re always working to help customers stretch their dollars — and this special discount is one more way we’re doing just that.”

All eligible customers have to do is use their Kroger loyalty card or alternate ID and alert the cashier of their eligibility.

Shoppers 55 and older can also get free pastries and coffee from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at locations throughout Kroger’s Cincinnati/Dayton division.
