A 12-year-old described as “much-loved” has died in a tragic fall from playground equipment at a park near his home.

Logan Carter was fatally injured at Wharton Recreation Ground in Winsford, Cheshire, England, on Friday, August 29

The incident happened just after 6 pm local time, according to a statement released by the Cheshire Constabulary.

The BBC reported Logan was hurt after falling from park apparatus. Paramedics attempted to treat him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Sergeant John Rhodes urged the public to assist with the investigation.
