A man has been fined after a huge pile of his waste was found dumped beside a country lane in Tameside last year.

Ainsley Meanock was slapped with a fixed penalty notice by the council after the heap was discovered at land off Twirl Hill Lane in Ashton -under-Lyne on April 15 last year.

But Mr Meanock claimed he didn't receive the fine and failed to reply to any further correspondence from the council. He also didn't show up to court when summoned in January 2025, meaning a warrant was issued for his arrest.
