Manchester United were part of an action packed transfer deadline day as Premier League clubs continue to splash the cash.

The transfer window closes at 7pm tonight, after which English sides will no longer be allowed to sign players.

Top flight clubs have spent close to £3billion this summer in a frenzied spending spree across the board.

But while top flight clubs can no longer add more new faces to their squads past tonight's deadline, they can still offload unwanted players to overseas sides.

The Premier League window closes earlier than normal this summer with the Football Association, Premier League and EFL all agreeing to the 7pm finish to prevent clubs and league officials from working on transfers late into the night.
