BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Applications are open for the Global Talent Office Grant Program. The program helps employers and communities across the state recruit immigrants.

The organization predicts it will play a critical role in addressing workforce shortages.

“North Dakota was founded through immigration practices and that was how our population grew 100 years ago, with a very concerted effort around population based immigration. And we’re at that place now where we do have a lot of open positions. And in order for our economy to thrive and our communities to thrive, we’re working to bring people in from all over the Untied States and people across the world,” said Jana Pastir, the deputy director of the North Dakota Chamber of Commerce.
