A trough continues to hang out near the Mississippi River, and this feature may help trigger isolated to scattered showers or a stray thunderstorm across parts of north and northwest Alabama later today. Many areas should stay mainly dry with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid to upper 80s, with overnight lows in the 60s.
Rain chances look a little higher on Tuesday, especially north of I-20, though coverage should remain scattered.
By Wednesday, a shortwave disturbance moving into the lower Mississippi Valley could bring a better chance for scattered showers and a few storms across much of central Alabama.
