WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) – A juvenile is in custody after a shooting Sunday night left one family member dead inside a Williamson County home, authorities said.

Williamson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call around 10 p.m. about a shooting at a residence in the 100 block of Chandler Pointe Loop on Sunday Aug. 31.

According to police, the caller said an individual was shot by another family member inside the home, believed to be a juvenile.

Deputies said they attempted lifesaving measures but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the victim has been identified but their identity is being held pending next of kin notification.

In accordance with Texas state law, the identity of the juvenile will not be released to the public pending further
