(WFSB) - September means the start of football season. It’s a busy time of year for sports betting, and a new Better Business Bureau report shows complaints about online gambling are on the rise.

On Labor Day, Aaron Davis was placing bets on baseball and the WNBA with the Fanatics Sportsbook at the PeoplesBank Arena Sports Bar in Hartford. He’s excited to soon turn his focus to the NFL,

“I’m a 49ers fan, so I’m ready,” said Davis. “The Eagles and Cowboys are playing Thursday and I’m betting the Eagles because Micah Parsons isn’t going to be there.”

Davis sticks to betting at the in-person sportsbook or on his FanDuel app.

“You know it’s legit and you actually get paid for what you’re doing,” said Davis.
