OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- New research results reported at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference were recently released.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, the research focused on, “scientific understanding of risk, diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.”
This research will impact more than seven million Americans, the most people who have ever been living with the disease.
One key finding focused on the impact lead exposure can have not just on people’s physical health, but their mental health.
Researchers found lead in the atmosphere and environment may be linked to memory problems 50 years later. The study surveyed more than 600,000 people.
