PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Portland Police say a man died on Sunday evening after crashing his bicycle at Washington Park.
Officers were called to the scene of a bicycle crash near SW Sacajawea Boulevard and SW Lewis and Clark Circle in Washington Park at around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Police say a man was found dead in the area when officers arrived.
The man was believed to have been riding a BMX-style bike downhill with a group of cyclist while not wearing a helmet when he crashed trying to ride between two boulders, according to Portland Police.
The man’s name has not yet been released.
