ADDISON, N.Y. (WENY) -- Starting on September 2, a bridge in the town of Addison will be closed to traffic for construction. The bridge is located on County Route 2, also known as Cranberry Lake Road, over Catherine Creek between Miller Road and Tobin Road.

Officials say the closure is expected to last for about 10 weeks as crews install a new concrete box culvert.

Drivers will be detoured onto County Route 119 and Waddell Road in the meantime.

County officials also remind drivers to plan for extra travel time. The Steuben County Department of Public Works director, Eric Rose, says once complete, the structure will provide safer and more reliable travel for the community.
