ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- Labor Day marks the unofficial end to summer, and the last day of the amusement park season at Eldridge Park in Elmira. Park officials said the 2025 season was a success, and they're looking forward to next year.

"This season has been fantastic. We have been booked solid with bands and entertainment, and it's been a great season for us overall," said Eldridge Park's General Manager, Trisha Elwood.

Volunteers at Eldridge Park said they saw a lot of first-timers today (Sept. 1st).

" We’re getting a lot of first-time riders. We’ve had a lot of little tykes coming on, and families are establishing new traditions. (There’s a) good chance they’ll be here year after year, like the older generations... It’s a nice family affair," said Volunteer, Mike 'Robby' Robertson.
