SPOKANE, Wash. – It's been a decade since Macklemore's "Downtown" music video was filmed in the heart of Spokane, featuring local sights and talent.

The video, which highlighted Spokane's downtown area, included a casting call for locals to dress in 70s attire and join the fun.

Some of the buildings, including where KHQ's station is located, made appearances in the video.

Reflecting on the changes over the past 10 years, one of our producers captured footage of the same stretch of road. While new shops and fresh paint have altered the landscape slightly, the essence of downtown remains familiar.

Macklemore, a Washington native, has continued to connect with local audiences. His bandmate, Ryan Lewis, hails from Spokane, adding to the local pride.
