LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — WoodMill Winery, a popular Lincoln County vineyard, was destroyed by fire Sunday morning, the winery said .
Multiple fire crews worked to put out the flames. North 321 Fire Department said that its crews assisted the Union Volunteer Fire Department in battling the fire.
In a statement, the winery thanked the community for its support.
"As many of you have heard, WoodMill Winery caught on fire this morning and has burned down," the winery said. "Everyone is safe. Thank you for all of the messages, thoughts, and prayers."
The cause of the fire is unknown, but WoodMill assured that they plan to rebuild.
"We will be rebuilding," the winery said.
