The caused to a section of a road in Crowland has been found to be more extensive than suggested. A and the works to the affected road sections have been stopped due to a bigger fix being needed.

The initial works would not make the surface sufficiently safe for road users. The closure will remain in place subject to a full detailed investigation.

This is needed to assess the scale, risks and costs for repairing the drought damage and bringing the road back into use.
