COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - One person was killed after their vehicle rolled off of Rampart Range Road in the middle of the night.

The vehicle was traveling the winding, unpaved road at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday when Springs police say the driver veered off the roadway and flipped the car multiple times. A passenger survived the rollover and waved down another vehicle for help.

“Colorado Springs Fire Department personnel, along with CSPD, responded to the area and began searching for the crash,” a Colorado Springs Police Department lieutenant said.

They ultimately found the car with one occupant dead inside.
