CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A person was found shot to death during a welfare check in north Charlotte on Tuesday morning, according to police .
The shooting reportedly happened around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the intersection of Beatties Ford Road and Hyde Park Drive.
Police said they responded to a welfare check and, upon arrival, found an adult who had been shot.
Paramedics responded; however, officers said the person was pronounced dead before they were able to get there. As of this writing, the victim has not been identified.
An ATV was spotted at the scene and is a part of the investigation, police confirmed. It wasn’t made immediately clear what led up to the shooting or how that vehicle was involved.
“Indications currently are that some shooting happened here,” said Ma
