MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) — Madisonville Police say they arrested a father after he left his 6-month-old home alone.

Officers say they were called to an address on Hopwell Street regarding a young infant being left home alone.

According to MPD, this was the second day in a row that officers had been called about this type of incident.

At the home, police say they tried to make contact with someone but were unable to do so.

A short time later, officers say they saw Juan Pedro-Lucas pull into the driveway.

Police say Pedro-Lucas had a suspended license, and also admitted to leaving his 6-month-old home alone to drive his wife to work.

Pedro-Lucas was arrested and booked into the Hopkins County Jail on charges of Wanton Endangerment and driving on a suspended license.
