HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — A Hopkins County man is facing multiple charges after being accused of assaulting two victims with a vehicle before fleeing from deputies.

Authorities responded to a reported assault involving a vehicle in Nebo on August 31.

Deputies from the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office investigated a complaint at 100 North Hoffman Street. Two individuals claimed Steven Russo of Nebo used a vehicle to assault them, with one person reportedly struck and dragged.

One individual received treatment from Med Center Ambulance Service. Deputies located Russo and the vehicle nearby, but say Russo fled.

Russo traveled to the intersection of Highway 502 and Highway 1034 before returning to the original scene, where he fled on foot.
