End of an era: Iconic Hilliard Road Bridge arches won’t survive replacement

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - Age and deterioration have caught up with the 100-year-old Hilliard Road Bridge over the the Cleveland Metroparks.

Plans are now in the works to replace the bridge, scrapping forever the landmark arches that support the road 99 feet over the Cleveland Metroparks’ Rocky River Reservation - a link between Rocky River and Lakewood.
