The Pittsburgh Steelers are adding to their roster ahead of their season opener in New York against the Jets.

Pittsburgh is signing former Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Rhattigan. The Steelers hosted him on a visit on Monday, per Alan Saunders of Steelers Now, and have now made his signing official.

Rhattigan appeared in 16 games for the Panthers in 2024, largely in a special teams role. In four seasons, he’s appeared in 52 games and has 44 career tackles. He will join the practice squad, as the Steelers already have five linebackers on their active roster.
