BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — The Labor Day weekend reprieve from construction closures is over.

GDOT will be closing up to three lanes in either direction of I-85 anywhere between Clairmont Road (Exit 91) and Cheshire Bridge/Lenox Road (Exit 88) during overnight hours this week.

This is part of the long term plan to improve and expand the I-85/North Druid Hills Road interchange.

Weather permitting, these closures are normally scheduled to last from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night and morning. The construction could cause delays, especially when crews are setting up and breaking down the work zone. Buford Highway and Briarcliff Road could save drivers time during the worst of these delays.
