COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Last week, two men were indicted on felony charges related to two separate investigations into the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material by Cookeville police.

Detectives with the Cookeville Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children unit and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation "initiated a proactive peer-to-peer investigation" starting in February that identified a Baxter residence associated with downloading child sexual abuse material, according to the Cookeville Police Department. The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Matthew T. Whitehead.
