CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Cheatham County Sheriff's Office absconder unit has been so successful in tracking down wanted offenders that they've added two more officers to the squad that was previously a team of one.

In just a few months since its inception, the absconder unit has arrested 65 wanted individuals who might otherwise still be at large.

According to authorities, the unit teamed up with Metro police Friday afternoon to arrest Brian Garrett, also known as "8-Ball."

Bodycam video obtained by News 2 shows the moment officers cuffed the 50-year-old ex-con.

Records reveal that Garrett has spent much of his life in and out of jail. According to the Tennessee Department of Correction, Garrett's most recent sentence was a six-year term for aggravated assault out of Cheatha
