GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — A serial child predator in Sumner County has been served a maximum life sentence.

Chris Alessio of Hendersonville was first arrested in the fall of 2022 after a teenage girl came forward to report that she had been repeatedly raped and molested by Alessio throughout that summer.

More victims eventually came forward, and Alessio, 48, was sentenced last Friday to 162 years behind bars — one of the longest prison sentences in Sumner County history.

“We wanted the sentence to serve as possibly something that would deter conduct like this from other defendants in the future,” Sumner County Assistant District Attorney Nathan Nichols said.
