MANCHESTER — September 1 was Labor Day, which has historically been a national day of rest for workers throughout the United States. However, this year, many workers did not take the day off, nor did they celebrate the traditional way – choosing instead to spend the day in protest to the actions of an administration whose policies they can no longer abide by.

With protests planned throughout the state and nation, the Labor Day theme had originally been set as "workers over billionaires." In Manchester, though, that theme rapidly evolved into a protest against the "unaccountable secret police," "immigration overreach," and recent ICE raids locally and beyond.
