PLAIN DEALING, La. – With hunting season approaching, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office will open its rifle range to the public for three designated sight-in days this September.
The rifle range, located at 2955 Old Plain Dealing Road in Plain Dealing, will be open Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sept. 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Deputies will be on site to assist and ensure safety as hunters prepare their rifles for the season.
Targets will be provided and set at distances of 100, 200, 300 and 400 yards. Hunters must bring their own rifles, ammunition, and protective gear for eyes and ears. Basic safety rules will be enforced.
