HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - In Henderson, protesters are gathering ahead of a meeting about a proposed wind turbine project in the county.

We got a live look from the Henderson County Courthouse, where a public meeting will be held by the Planning Commission at 6.

It’s been a hot topic in the county since the announcement earlier this summer.

The plan by Cordelio Power involves putting up many wind turbines in Rock Bluff Energy Park.

Some say they are concerned about potential health and environmental impacts.

County officials says this project is still in its early planning stages.
