Niagara-on-the-Lake officials are scrambling to fix the town’s website after the public found itself unable to access any information on Tuesday.

The town responded to a Niagara This Week request for comment, saying the town’s website was “experiencing technical issues.”

Officials said the town’s information technology staff is “working quickly with our website provider to resolve the issue.”

Officials did not provide a reason for the website being down, nor what type of “technical issue” staff was addressing. Officials also didn’t say when the website would be back up and running.

Attempts to connect to the town’s website were unsuccessful during the late afternoon.

Attempts to reach the town website resulted in a warning page appearing, indicating the site is not secure.
