MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - A Canadian man is driving change when it comes to food insecurity.

We need food to live, but it’s not something everyone can access.

Richard Demers is trying to change that with his “Feed the Hungry” tour.

“To raise awareness to the need for people to have some food security,” said Demers.

Demers just started the tour this week. He said Minot is his third stop out of 12.

At each stop, he hosts a “Show and Shine” event, celebrating vintage cars and raising support for local food pantries.

“I’m just using this as a vehicle to draw attention, because it’s a magnet, people love my car,” said Demers.

Demers said the 1932 Dodge car, along with his suit from the era, catches people’s attention.
