BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) - If you're considering a career in law enforcement, members of the Raleigh County Sheriff's Office want to see if you have what it takes.

Potential recruits have been invited to the Paul Cline Memorial Soccer Complex to train with sheriff's deputies. The session has been designed to test the physical endurance of participants. Raleigh County Sheriff Frank Priddy said many don't realize just how physical a career in law enforcement can be. "To do this job, you have to be physically fit. That's all there is to it," Sheriff Priddy explained. "You have to meet these minimum qualifications to actually get into the academy to get your certification to work for any police department. So, it helps us, and it helps them as well." The first session has been scheduled for 1:00 pm
