LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A man in a wheelchair is dead after he was hit by a vehicle in the west Las Vegas valley Tuesday evening, according to Metro police.
Just before 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of Charleston Boulevard and Heavenly Hills Court near Durango Drive after a report that a vehicle hit a pedestrian who was in a wheelchair.
Paramedics arrived and administered CPR to the victim and he was taken to a local hospital, police said. The man was later pronounced dead, according to police.
Charleston Boulevard before Durango Drive was closed in both directions as police conducted their investigation, according to RTC Southern Nevada.
