LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Nevada DMV offices are open but with limited services. People still can't obtain a driver's license, a REAL ID, or update their address after a cyberattack crippled the operations of state agencies on August 24.

"Temporarily taking systems offline helps contain the threat, protect data, and prevent re-infection. We’re bringing services back in phases, only after they pass security checks," according to a state-launched website following the attack.

The state has confirmed that some data was extracted during the cyberattack and investigators are analyzing the data involved. People whose data was breached will receive a notice from the state.
