SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Saratoga Springs City Council met Tuesday night to discuss a city employee, who was found guilty in August of unlawfully preventing public access to records.
Commissioner of Accounts Dillon Moran was accused of issuing false sworn certifications to Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests. Saratoga Springs Public Safety Commissioner Tim Coll shared his thoughts before the meeting.
"The troubling part for me was -- the fact of the matter is -- he was provided with a certification that asked him if the records existed, and he provided a false statement and said they did not, and according to the judge, he did that willfully," Coll said.
