Expect plenty of sunshine today, with just a few high-level clouds drifting by. The afternoon will be warm and pleasant, with highs climbing into the mid to upper 80s—perfectly tolerable for enjoying the outdoors.

An upper-level trough is sending a few disturbances across the southeast, but we'll largely stay dry. However, a warming trend is on the horizon. By Friday, expect summertime heat to return, with temperatures soaring into the low to mid 90s, making it one of the hottest days of the week. This warmth will linger into the early weekend.
