But Detroit’s story is not just about physical transformation. It’s also about who’s making that transformation happen.

I was born and raised in Detroit. I’m a proud graduate of Cass Tech, a proud resident of this city and an elected official serving as vice chair of the Detroit Public Schools Community District board. I carry Detroit in everything I do.

This city has shaped me, my values, my work and my belief in what’s possible here.
