Jet2 remains one of the world's largest users of active passenger Boeing 737-300s. Ch-aviation shows seven frames, each company-owned and paid off. In this sense, they're cheap as chips ( as were its now-retired 757s ), offset by higher fuel burn and maintenance. Each aircraft has 148 all-economy seats, although none have the Quick Change capability (they were retired). At 28.5 years, its oldest -300 is G-GDFG , which was delivered to Air Europa in 1997.

The Classic 737 variant is, of course, increasingly rare. Jet2 is the sole operator of it in scheduled passenger form in the UK, with its final frames due to be retired in winter 2027/2028. While the writing is on the wall for the type, Jet2's examples remain exclusively flown from its original Leeds Bradford base.
