A recent Japan Airlines flight from Honolulu, Hawaii, to Chubu, Nagoya in central Japan, was reportedly delayed due to a pilot’s alcohol consumption. Additionally, two other flights from Honolulu International Airport to Tokyo Haneda were pushed back by approximately 18 hours.

The development follows a string of recent alcohol-related incidents involving the airline’s personnel. In response, officials from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) have reportedly visited the carrier’s Tokyo headquarters to launch an investigation.
