The Collegedale city manager resigned from his job during the commission meeting on Tuesday night.

City spokesperson Bridgett Raper said Wayon Hines stepped down from his post as the city's manager and engineer.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Wayon over the last three years,” said Collegedale Mayor Morty Lloyd. “I appreciate his commitment to the City of Collegedale and thank him for his many accomplishments.”

There was no reason given for Hines’s resignation.

Raper said Michelle Toro will be serving as the interim city manager.

The city’s next steps will be discussed during the next commission meeting on Monday, September 15 at 6:00pm.
