For more than three decades, fans at Chattanooga Lookouts games have been greeted by a familiar voice at the stadium gates.
“Programs right here, not 25 cents, free, free for your programs, free!” calls out Wanda Goins, known affectionately to fans as “Wanda the Program Lady.”
Goins has been part of the Lookouts’ family since the summer of 1990, when her cousin invited her to help work a Jimmy Buffett concert at Engel Stadium. That same night, she was offered a job with the team.
She started in ticket sales before quickly moving into ushering. But when asked to hand out programs instead, Goins said yes without hesitation — and she’s been at it ever since.
