The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to two separate house fires overnight.

Mathers Bay West

At 8:28 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, crews arrived at a home on Mathers Bay West to find smoke coming from the building. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control by 9:16 p.m. Everyone evacuated safely before crews arrived. One person was assessed by paramedics but did not require hospital care. Early findings suggest the fire was accidental, caused by a clothing dryer.
