EastEnders has confirmed Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) is a mother after giving birth to twins 19 years ago, and fans are convinced her mystery son is not Joel Marshall (Max Murray).

During Wednesday's explosive trip to the Square (September 3), Zoe was accidentally shot by Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) as she reunited with her estranged mum, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace).

As Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey) battled to save Zoe's life, she fell unconscious and flashed back to 2006 when she gave to twins. Sadly one of the twins died and she abandoned her surviving son in the hospital claiming she wanted him adopted.
