Seafest is back next week for another huge celebration of all things maritime - featuring a historic twist at Royal William Yard to mark its 200th anniversary. The event will take over Plymouth's waterfront for the weekend with live music, food, family activities and crafts.

The Yard is celebrating its bicentenary and its 200 Exhibition – showcasing Royal William Yard’s creation and evolution over two centuries – will be launched alongside Seafest 2025.

The exhibition, running from September 13-28, will be a chance to uncover "200 years of innovation and ingenuity, hidden histories and maritime marvels", organisers say.

There will be a curated collection of artefacts, information, images and stories sourced from the National Archives, Devonport Naval Heritage Centre, Plymouth Proprietar
