BENNINGTON — Lisa Barlow, Sharon Shorey, and Wendy Sharkey – organizers and representatives for the Quiet Valley Quilters – gathered to discuss the upcoming show, scheduled for the weekend of September 13 and 14 at Mount Anthony Union Middle School.

Barlow, who works as co-chair of the Bennington Quilt Fest with Barbara Morissey, came on board to the guild back in 2021. Sharkey joined the guild in 1994. Shorey – being one of the two founders – is "an OG."

"I am like a Girl Friday. I'm the historian. I have been with the guild since its start," explained Shorey, as Barlow and Sharkey chatted together. "I started it with one other lady, Betty Lambert. In 1982, it was just a little tiny social thing. And then, in 1983-4, we started the guild."

That was back in the guild's "quiet days."
